The Supreme Court decision on Donald Trump’s claim of immunity is due 10 a.m. Eastern tomorrow. They already gave insurrectionists a break, this week, in fact. What they decide about giving the violent Mr. Trump a pass — or not — or how much—will affect us forever or until Congress passes guardrail laws to hem in criminal power lust. Then, having dumped the decision on us after torturing us for months, the Supremes will blow Dodge and hang some more flags upside down and look at themselves in the mirror and imagine themselves as sitting at the right hand of the Jesus they abandoned long, long ago.
