HERE IS THE FULL TEXT OF THE PETITION.
THE Substack newsletter POLITISAGE urges all concerned people to sign the following petition to the INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT.
We, the undersigned, urge
THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT to INDICT DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States, on charges of C RIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.
Donald Trump stands in violation multiple sections of Article VII: Crimes against Humanity of the Rome Statues under which the ICC operates. These include, but are not limited to:
(d) Deportation or forcible transfer of population;
(e) Imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law;
(f) Torture (in the form of psychological terrorism, transfer to foreign prisons known to torture, and abuse in detention);
(h) Persecution against any identifiable group or collectivity on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender as defined in paragraph 3, or other grounds that are universally recognized as impermissible under international law, in connection with any act referred to in this paragraph or any crime within the jurisdiction of the Court;
(i) Enforced disappearance of persons;
(j) The crime of apartheid;
(k) Other inhumane acts of a similar character intentionally causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or to mental or physical health.
Trump and Kristi Noem have used masked agents with no identifying insignia in unmarked vehicles to detain brown and black people without warrants, people whom the Trump administration ALLEGES are in violation of U.S. immigration rules. Court records show these agents with military-grade weapons have no probable cause for doing so. We at PolitiSage feel these tens of thousands of actions against people on American soil constitute a "legalized" racial war against non-white Americans, legal green-card residents, and illegal migrants desperate for safety from violence in other countries who may have a legal right to petition the United States for asylum.
We appeal to the International Criminal Court to immediately file charges of Crimes against Humanity against Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, et al. and to issue warrants for their arrest as soon as practicable for the Court.
With respect,
Morgaan Rhys-Davies Sinclair, Ph.D. for PolitiSage
Thank you so much for this. I hope millions of people sign this to ensure he is held accountable by the people he is supposed to serve.
I thought the US had refused to be a signatory member of the ICC provisions. Can the ICC prosecute individuals from a nonsigning country?
