Here in Charleston, SC we had a very large turnout in the morning, hundreds of people, perhaps a thousand. The signs were marvelous! The only police I saw was one mounted officer (they work in the park where we were protesting), and another who was assisting an elderly man who was having trouble walking. Probably the BEST thing is that 90% of the protestors were YOUNG!!! I was one of the few white-haired "elders". (I remember in the VN war protests than whenever we saw someone with white hair, we all celebrated!) I have great hope that these turnouts will put new energy and hope into our movement.
