"No Kings" from Marin County
From the Rowland Avenue Overpass on Highway 101, Novato, California. My home turf.

The moment I stepped out of our house, the horn-blowing was pronounced. It got louder and more frequent as I approached the Rowland Avenue overpass in Novato, California.
Start time was 10:30 a.m., and I took all these shots before 11:00 a.m. There was lots of talk about the murders of Melissa Hortman and her husband and the woundings of John Hoffman and his wife, who were shot multiple times.
Note: At our rally, there were no Marines, no National Guard troops, and NO POLICE. There was no control of this expression of free speech at all.

While I was on the bridge, a friend of ours was driving the length of Marin County from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Russian River, and he says there were signs and people at every overpass, decorated cars, and a symphony of constantly horn honking.

Thanks for coming out, everybody and letting us take your photograph. You’re the best.
We’ll see you next month.
Much Love,
Morgaan
Here in Charleston, SC we had a very large turnout in the morning, hundreds of people, perhaps a thousand. The signs were marvelous! The only police I saw was one mounted officer (they work in the park where we were protesting), and another who was assisting an elderly man who was having trouble walking. Probably the BEST thing is that 90% of the protestors were YOUNG!!! I was one of the few white-haired "elders". (I remember in the VN war protests than whenever we saw someone with white hair, we all celebrated!) I have great hope that these turnouts will put new energy and hope into our movement.
Thanks for the wonderful pictures!
