TFG’s terrorist infused revenge rhetoric and lifelong habit of skirting laws is inexorably creating a maelstrom that will topple him like a dead pine borer infected forest in a wind driven firestorm. It’s truly maddening that our legal system and the Senate have failed to clear cut his forest when they have had many opportunities to do that.

Yeah ... and Congress is caving like a soaked mud bank. As Joyce Vance said, it's only the courts, and ultimately that came down to the prosecutors willing to bring charges.

A direct quote from Congressman Peter Meijer about the Jan 6 votes can be found in The Atlantic:

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2022/01/peter-meijer-freshman-republican-impeach/620844/

"On the House floor, moments before the vote, Meijer approached a member who appeared on the verge of a breakdown. He asked his new colleague if he was okay. The member responded that he was not; that no matter his belief in the legitimacy of the election, he could no longer vote to certify the results, because he feared for his family’s safety."

And he should. I never, ever thought it would come to this. And I am infuriated that these people are being extorted like they're paying protection to the Chicago mafia in 1930. This is an abomination. THANK YOU for this quote.

I'm amazed that story isn't known to all, like say the "threw lunch against the wall" story is. To me, making Congressmen afraid to vote for fear of your violent followers, ALONE, confirms it should be regarded as an "insurrection". Changing minds by fear of violence is extortion if commercial, terrorism if political; changing Congressional votes by fear of violence is insurrection.

Hey ... There's a law professor in California who is submitted an amicus brief to the Supreme Court on his eligibility denial in Colorado who says that under the Constitution, Trump should be disqualified because of his VIOLENT SPEECH and THREATS made against judges, plaintiffs, lawyers, investigators and citizens. I don't know how he's arguing that but I do notice this: since he got fined $83.3 million by the jury in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, he has not defamed her once. This should encourage everybody he has defamed to file suit immediately. And if Engoron comes down over $400 million, which he could given the newly-exposed business fraud around this undisclosed $48 million loan, it could be that high or higher. And I have no doubt Engoron is going to Pharma-Boy Donsy and make it so he can never do business in New York state again. That's why they are referring to this as a "death sentence" because if Engoron does that, Trump's whole financial empire may implode, taking his golf courses and Mar-a-Lago with it. AND he could do 20 years in prison just on the Georgia election interference cases. And once we have him in orange--so poetically just--he won't able to get the damned microphone!! God, what a relief that will be.

And there is ample evidence, including the most recent:

“In the YouTube video, which was titled "Mohn's Militia - Call To Arms For American Patriots" and is cited in a police complaint, Mohn is seen wearing gloves and holding his father's head in a plastic bag. Later, the head can be seen in a cooking pot.

Mohn says his father was a federal employee for 20 years and refers to him as a traitor, calling for the death of all federal officials and attacking President Joe Biden's administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community and antifa activists. YouTube removed the video, which is more than 14 minutes long, hours after it was posted.“

Calling tffg a sick f*ck doesn’t even begin to cover a monster that manipulates the unwell to commit violence.
