The people who think this is going to be great, like Moms for Liberty, don’t realize that they’re women too and won’t be exceptional when this goes down.

This is absolutely possible. We’re in it right now. It could all be over by next year if we don’t fight it everywhere.

Damned straight!!!! Here's the rub. In, for example, Muslim cultures in which women are extremely oppressed, there emerges the female culture of the DAWA. A DAWA is a grandmother who is polices other women at the behest of men. When, for example, a young man in the dawa's family is married, she attends the first sexual act of the newlyweds, and if there is no evidence the bride was a virgin -- no bleeding -- she orders the immediate execution of the bride. The dawa resides atop a hierarchy of women who gain privileges--and cultural esteem--by policing and punishing other women. Men don't even have to "dirty themselves" with the control of women: women willing to control and punish other women for prestige, power, and a respite for themselves from some of the draconian rules to which all others are subject have plagued women's rights forever. These women believe God likes them better because they prance around saying what others do and don't get to think about and know and read. They have an ego position that, in their own not so humble opinions, are OFF THE CHARTS. And they are going to live in a world in which men will provide them everything. It is a question for me if they ever lived at all in the days before they morally died in the quest to one-up other women in religion's heady pecking order of bitches willing to sell out other women.

I wasn’t aware of the DAWA setup. That is so creepy. I feel the oppression weighing me down just thinking about it.

Such horrors must not be allowed to happen here. Thank you for this article .

You're most welcome. The fact that the Moms of Liberty can almost single-handedly take down the Department of Education and ban every book they don't like does not bode well.

This is a SUPERB essay. I hope that it receives wide readership. After I read this paragraph: The mullahs changed parliamentary rules to allow a smaller group of more conservative parliamentarians to write the Articles and vote on them, sidelining the majority that would never have passed it. Because what the Ayatollah Khomenei said so, and what the supreme leader says, goes, elections be damned." -- I said to myself, "and that's EXACTLY what's happening here." Your next sentence: "And that is what you are looking at in the United States right now."
