It should have been written when E. Jean Carroll first took Trump down last year.
It should have been written the moment the jury returned 34 guilty verdicts in the Stormy Daniels case.
It should have been written the moment the FBI seized files from Mar-a-Lago.
It should have been written on January 7th.
It should have been written the moment the tapes were played—tapes in which Trump asked Georgia election officials to find him more than 11,000 votes so he could steal the presidency of the United States.
The Gray Lady is not utterly forgiven. She did this after twice having the editorial board tell Biden to step down. And he should. But by no stretch of the imagination is Joe Biden the bigger problem here. And the Gray Lady has been pandering to the Radical Right for more than four years.
So, this is welcome indeed. But the Gray Lady is not forgiven. Her dereliction of duty is staggering.
Not since Sulzberger betrayed European Jews in World War II—by burying the stories about concentration camps that it knew were true—has the New York Times been this cowardly, vile and destruction.
