Oh, Morgaan, I am so sorry that you have lost your precious friend in his human form. What a beautiful relationship you two had! The work you will continue and complete for him is the highest tribute you could possibly pay. Thank you for telling us about him. Sending love, Kathy

Oh, Morgaan, I am completely 💔💔💔 for your loss. And I am astonished at the things we have in common. You will recall that you sent me a digital draft of the lovely book the two of you have been creating together. I’m still reading, very slow due to health issues, but will send the “blurb” I promised when able. I also preordered the book some time

ago and will cherish the art and final product when it is available . I am gobsmacked at the things you mention, ie the film “Genius” based on the life of Thomas Wolfe and his editor Max Perkins. I purchased the film and repeat it often. And his book…..”Look Homeward, Angel”. And I am likewise 77 years old; if I err here, please forgive. I am in a bit of shock as well. There is also the reference to “The Last of the Mohicans” and the scene I see so well in my mind’s eye 👁️ of the three survivors; Daniel Day- Lewis, Madeline Stowe & Russell Means as the incomparable Chingachgook ; his speech as he lost his biological son was so very moving. I grieve with you for this loss. May your colleague find peace 🕊️and may you find comfort in completing the project with love and cherished memories.

I also thank you (as always) for your telling of this person. The beautiful way you write seems always to make your subject real and alive as if I can sit on the porch and experience first hand the world/history/person you are describing. I wish you ease in your sense of loss
