I'm on Social Security. I just got an e-mail from The Entity!

Using the Social Security Administration to hawk some pro-Trump tripe is utterly disgusting. Congress owes seniors TRILLIONS. Trump tossed us a crumb.

You will be delighted to know Trump has now sunk to hawking himself to seniors as their savior of their social security benefits — by not taxing them so much — having just turned a federal government agency’s official communications into a campaign propaganda tool worthy of Pravda and Izvestia.

For a miserable, dark missive straight out of Poe … Quoth The Guardian:

An email sent by the US Social Security Administration (SSA) that claims Donald Trump’s major new spending bill has eliminated taxes on benefits for most recipients is misleading, critics have said. The reconciliation bill – which the president called the “one big, beautiful bill” before signing it on Friday after Republicans in Congress passed it – includes provisions that will strip people of their health insurance, cut food assistance for the poor, kill off clean energy development and raise the national debt by trillions of dollars.

But the bill also “eliminates federal income taxes on social security benefits for most beneficiaries, providing relief to individuals and couples”, the previously apolitical SSA stated in an email circulated on Thursday. Frank Bisignano, the commissioner of the agency, said in a statement that nearly 90% of social security beneficiaries will no longer pay federal income taxes on their benefits.

Yeah, well, don’t look now but the so-called tax-cut is temporary, per Senate rules. And meanwhile, seniors are getting hit with

• Tariff-driven food price increases

• Threats to their access to Medicaid

• A Stripping many of health insurance (including those with preexisting conditions)

• Destroyed access to food assistance

• A more toxic environment

So, now tell me how a minor, minor tax break is going to offset a permanent rise in food prices of about 25% if my household is any example.

And while Trump is crowing about tossing seniors a crumb, explain to me why it was ever legitimate to tax money that was tax money taken from the seniors now getting back some of their savings when you already taxed it before—then borrowed and did not pay back trillions—leaving seniors with about 21% of what they should have in their social security checks.

The con artist does it again.

Meanwhile, I am completely outraged to have Frank Bisignano used my tax dollars to send me a campaign flyer for Donald Trump. Misuse of government assets. Got that, Frank?

Meanwhile, I support any and every attempt to kill The Entity. I’ll even do the stunt on the bi-plane.
