ICE Intimidation ... from the New Yorker this morning ...
Brilliant black-and-white photos as stark as the American Secret Police they expose.

One of the favorite tactics of masked, armed ICE agents eager for a cheap collar is to patrol court houses across America where migrants are showing up for COURT-ORDERED immigration hearings — in other words, following the law. They are harassed by ICE agents who either arrest them or intimidate them.
Consequently, migrants are afraid to show up for their appointments with American law and instantly become illegal when they weren’t before. And that’s the point of these confrontations: either arrest them without a warrant or scare them off, and then when they miss a court hearing, arrest them somewhere else.
These confrontations by agents who should themselves be illegal and probably are an affront to human dignity and the principles upon which this country was founded.

If you’re like me, you are spending a small fortune on good news outlets, and, for me, The New Yorker is among the very best. Their writers and photographers, as you can see from Peterson’s work, have lost none of their spine. Subscribe if you can. Or if you can’t, the weekly newsletter is great, too.
Thanks very much. It's important that we highlight quality work for one another as there's so much garbage out there. Wired Magazine is also doing a consistently excellent job far beyond what I ever expected
They are doing to others what most women, LGBTQ and POC have experienced in this country. Violence and abuse.
We warned you. Men with unchecked power are free to abuse, rape. Rob, assault and disappear their supposed enemies. It’s what they do. Many have been radicalized to this end. They have been chomping at the bit to be as violent as they want.
And no one stops them. It will Only get worse.
