A Civil War was supposed to cure it and partially did. An amendment to give black men the vote partially did. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 helped. But look at us: we are reeling under the rank racism and sexism of millions who will not give up the dream of holding on the self-elevation a white face gives them. Now they endanger the republic with a man at the helm who wants to be Second Coming of a Christo-fascist Caliphate that is driven by male ego and white self-worship.
